![]() ![]() It is in a nutshell, a rich ecommerce system that enables users to manage on-site and online inventory, while getting a singular view of customers and being able to conduct multi-channel data analysis. With LighSpeed Retail, users can manage inventory and customers, handle transactions more easily and take a more indepth look at their businesses’ analytics. It boasts of inventory management, quoting, ordering and invoicing tools, powerful reporting functionalities and jobs and timesheet features to boot. The product has virtually everything you need in a POS system. Lightspeed Retail is meant to streamline and keep business operations running smoothly. These businesses can benefit from using the solution as it enables them to meet their POS needs regardless of their size or nature of their products. The solution was created to cater to different types of retailers, which include apparel, footwear, pet, and home decor sellers. You suck.A cloud-based point-of-sale platform, Lightspeed Retail is designed to be accessed anytime and at any given place. PayPal/Zettle has the same features for free and Square can give us the reporting & staff clocking feature we need and at no extra cost. This is an expensive system and would be more expensive to get the features we need (and HAD with Shopkeep) like basic reporting. Constantly get referred to video tutorials when asking a question and the videos do not all apply to the X Series or don't go deep enough to be of help. Implementation "specialist" didn't know anything about the system and kept saying "I'll have to check into that and get back to you." We figured it all out ourselves. Salesperson told half truths to get us onboard. We implemented 2 locations in March and have regretted it ever since. I'm simply trying to enter gift card amounts from our original Shopkeep system. It's been 35 minutes since my 2nd chat representative left the chat and tossed me over to the 3rd rep. I'm writing this review during my third hour on the Lightspeed Series X chat feature. With over 20 years of project management experience I can not in good consistence recommend Lightspeed to any company. There appears to be no supervision or middle management of this company. The only way to get any response is through tech support chat and every request to escalate issues so we can talk about changing from X-Series to R-Series goes nowhere. I have tried to contact sales through the website, by calling the corp offices and through tech support chat. We were interested in expanding and buying more equipment from Lightspeed but are now moving back to our old POS. And when reaching out to our previous account manager, she passes us back and forth. Our latest assignment as never replied to emails or reached out. We are a small retail outlet and have been assigned FIVE Account managers in 6 months. I have performed several POS integrations including with Lightspeed in 2018 and never have I experienced such poor service. Our biggest mistake was doubling down on paying for additional "24/7" support. In the 6 months we have been with lightspeed we have experienced the worst sales support I have ever seen. This is not the Point of Sale system you want. ![]()
