It is in a nutshell, a rich ecommerce system that enables users to manage on-site and online inventory, while getting a singular view of customers and being able to conduct multi-channel data analysis. With LighSpeed Retail, users can manage inventory and customers, handle transactions more easily and take a more indepth look at their businesses’ analytics. It boasts of inventory management, quoting, ordering and invoicing tools, powerful reporting functionalities and jobs and timesheet features to boot. The product has virtually everything you need in a POS system. Lightspeed Retail is meant to streamline and keep business operations running smoothly. These businesses can benefit from using the solution as it enables them to meet their POS needs regardless of their size or nature of their products. The solution was created to cater to different types of retailers, which include apparel, footwear, pet, and home decor sellers. You suck.A cloud-based point-of-sale platform, Lightspeed Retail is designed to be accessed anytime and at any given place. PayPal/Zettle has the same features for free and Square can give us the reporting & staff clocking feature we need and at no extra cost. This is an expensive system and would be more expensive to get the features we need (and HAD with Shopkeep) like basic reporting. Constantly get referred to video tutorials when asking a question and the videos do not all apply to the X Series or don't go deep enough to be of help. Implementation "specialist" didn't know anything about the system and kept saying "I'll have to check into that and get back to you." We figured it all out ourselves. Salesperson told half truths to get us onboard. We implemented 2 locations in March and have regretted it ever since. I'm simply trying to enter gift card amounts from our original Shopkeep system. It's been 35 minutes since my 2nd chat representative left the chat and tossed me over to the 3rd rep. I'm writing this review during my third hour on the Lightspeed Series X chat feature. With over 20 years of project management experience I can not in good consistence recommend Lightspeed to any company. There appears to be no supervision or middle management of this company. The only way to get any response is through tech support chat and every request to escalate issues so we can talk about changing from X-Series to R-Series goes nowhere. I have tried to contact sales through the website, by calling the corp offices and through tech support chat. We were interested in expanding and buying more equipment from Lightspeed but are now moving back to our old POS. And when reaching out to our previous account manager, she passes us back and forth. Our latest assignment as never replied to emails or reached out. We are a small retail outlet and have been assigned FIVE Account managers in 6 months. I have performed several POS integrations including with Lightspeed in 2018 and never have I experienced such poor service. Our biggest mistake was doubling down on paying for additional "24/7" support. In the 6 months we have been with lightspeed we have experienced the worst sales support I have ever seen. This is not the Point of Sale system you want.

In a statement, the University of Washington said its Applied Physics Laboratory provided engineering services to the company and Rush from 2013 to 2020, but on a different submersible. Despite losing starting forwards Max Frazier and Kenan Parrish to graduation this offseason, Northwood expects to bring back rising senior Fred Whitaker Jr. Powell will undoubtedly lead the Chargers in 2023-24, but there are several other players who will also share the burden. To reach 2,000 career points, Powell would need to average 25.4 points per game, given Northwood plays as many games (31) as it did last season. He will likely end his career with the Chargers with over 1,500 career points, as he currently has 1,213 and totaled 578 last season. In 75 career games at Northwood, Powell has averaged 16.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game. This past season, the Chargers tied a program record with 28 wins before suffering a lopsided defeat to Central Cabarrus in the 3A title game. In 2021, Northwood made the tournament finals before losing to Weddington. Over the past three seasons, he has helped Northwood reach the 3A state championship game twice, but each time the Chargers came up short. While Powell has set himself up well for life beyond high school, he still has unfinished business at the prep level. I freely admit that I used a cheat sheet to get through Diamond World with Toma because his route gets dark and twisted real quick, even when you make all the right choices to reach the Good Ending. I hate seeing characters get hurt, especially when I like them and don’t feel like they deserve the pain. I did go back and replay Ikki’s and Kent’s stories with the cheat sheet because I wanted to see the Good Endings and the Bad Endings just make me flinch. I reached the Normal Ending with Kent in Clover World on my first try too. Heart World with Shin was much better I got to the Good Ending right away without looking at a cheat sheet. That may have worked against me because I was still learning how to interact properly with the characters and ended up with a Bad Ending. (And trust me, those can get BAD.)Įven though the worlds are listed with Heart at the top, I played Spade World with Ikki first because I’m a sucker for white-haired anime guys. Rather, the choice of who your love interest is has already been made, based on the world you go to, but it’s up to you how that plays out, to a Good Ending, a Normal Ending, or one of the myriad Bad Endings. So you aren’t picking among different love interests on a single timeline with your choices influencing who you end up with. All of the characters along each route show up in each World, but with different relationship arrangements and even some variations in personality. After you’ve gotten a Good Ending for these four Worlds, the fifth World, Joker, featuring Ukyo becomes accessible. Your choice of World determines your choice of love interest between four men: Shin, Ikki, Kent, and Toma. I was afraid that he’d be annoying, but overall I was glad for his company and support during the story.) The Heroine’s challenge is to recover these lost memories and navigate relationships that, from her point of view, are completely new, without letting anyone around her know that she has amnesia.Īfter the introduction with Orion, which sets the stage and explains what is going on, you choose between four different parallel worlds based on a suit of cards: Heart, Spade, Clover, and Diamond. (To my surprise, I did enjoy Orion’s presence throughout the game. He talks to her, often expressing what she (and the player) may be feeling, as well as describing scenes and situations. Orion then essentially becomes the Heroine’s voice during the game. Feeling contrite, he offers to help the Heroine regain her memories, thinking that as she recalls memories, they will push him back out and they can go their separate ways. He accidentally knocks the memories of her life before August 1 out of her and occupies the space where they once were. The premise of Amnesia: Memories is that you play as a nameless Heroine who loses her memories when a spirit named ORION bumps into her. Orion, your spirit companion in Amnesia: Memories But that is a very minor flaw in an otherwise very engaging and emotional game experience. The only thing that was a little distracting was the lip movements: they usually didn’t match up very well, just opening and closing for a certain period of time regardless of the sound of the dialog. I love the voices and it lent an extra level of realism and power to the story that is sometimes lacking when you rely on just text. This is also the first (and so far only) time that I’ve played an otome with voice actors! Since it is a visual novel, you have to read the text, but the audio is in Japanese, which only makes it feel even more like you’re participating in a subbed anime. After reading the summary of the anime, I had no desire to ever see it.) The music throughout the game is wonderful, and while the backgrounds are very sketchy, the presentation and design of the characters is phenomenal. (Apparently Amnesia: Memories was made into an anime, but it was very dark and not well received. The opening song and animation has a very anime-esque feel to it. As soon as I watched the trailer, I was hooked. The third one was called Amnesia: Memories. Two of the games were connected: Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms and Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds, a pair of Japanese-pseudo-historical-fantasy otome. During my search, I came across a game bundle for sale from Otomate, a branch of the Japanese video game developer Idea Factory. I haven’t had much time to sink into video games for a while, but was in the mood to try some more otome games, something I hadn’t touched since finishing Red String of Fate in 2017. Around Thanksgiving, I made the mistake of going on Steam during their Cyber Monday Sale. Issues began to develop even though the technique was quite effective and exceptionally famous. The massive amount of weight and momentum it brought to bear caused tremendous injuries, and even deaths. Quite simply, the play was too effective. While the play was incredibly popular, a dark cloud soon began to develop. While it was considered very effective at first, it was later banned across America and the United Kingdom due to its inherently aggressive nature. It involves players running forward tightly grouped together with the aim of breaking through opposing defense lines and gaining ground ahead. The technique was famously employed during a Harvard-Yale football game in 1892. In the field of rugby, the flying wedge is a brutal but nonetheless effective technique. The flying wedge was appreciated by more armies around the world, leading it to evolve into a more enhanced version with time. Historians and scholars of warfare realize that Alexander the Great and other war chiefs often used this military tactic to win their battles. History Of The Flying Wedge In American FootballĪlthough the exact origin of the flying wedge maneuver is uncertain, its traceable roots can be found in ancient Greece. Furthermore, now that kickoffs can either go out of bounds or due to a fair-catch signal, there is less of a risk when it comes down to high impact collisions where a team member or one from another would collide with someone standing perfectly still and waiting for information rather than jockeying for proper position along the sidelines as was done before now that teams do not have full reign over where they stand. Since there are specific rules related to how players must line up before and during kick-offs, it’s no longer necessary for certain members of the kicking team to form an alliance before getting back to their respective routes because they’re typically on their own when returning the ball. Any illegal wedge penalty results in a 15-yard loss by the offending team.Īlso, know that with the changes in the way teams kick and catch, there is no longer a need for the wedge block to be utilized. In 2009, the wedge formation was banned in football due to its potential for causing injuries if players were to collide with each other while running. Why Is The Wedge Illegal In Football?Ī wedge block takes place on a kickoff when the two outermost players lunge into each other before one of them breaks and another player runs through the hole to fend off any possible tacklers from getting in the way. These handles would allow them to tighten their formation and keep them more closely combined as well as keep track of their teammates. The players on a wedge were not only leaning in close together but they were bonded to each other through the use of leather handles sewn into their uniforms. You might have seen this formation being used in American football where it’s designed for short or medium-distance plays. One player is designated as the captain of the team, followed by three forwards, three backs, and one other player who is normally positioned in front of the captain. The V formation uses at least seven players and looks like the head of an arrow. The NFL banned the flying wedge formation in 2009, and the decision to ban this offensive formation was due to the dangers it posed to defensive players attempting to stop the ball.Ī flying wedge is also known as a V formation and it is used by football teams to create a sense of intimidation. |
